Pan American Games - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic 2003
The Pan American Games is a world-class, multi-sport event and is open to all nations within the Americas (South, Central and North.) Avie was one of several Canadian shooters in attendance and was impressed by the facilities and athletes.
The Pictures:
- Miscellaneous Pics: Avianna took several photos while competing. Okay, in between shots, she took some other shots.
The Videos:
- Highlights Reel: Here's a video which I hope you find to be fun. I made a highlights reel which includes rifle and pistol, along with village life, basketball and women's beach volleyball. Get a feel for the whole Pan Am Games experience, all in just under 2 minutes. But beware: its a BIG file (approx. 10 MB) so it may take some time to download.
- Sharon Bowes (Canada) - Women's 3-P Rifle: Sharon started the Games with a nasty case of food poisoning and didn't perform as she had hoped in air rifle. Here she is in the 3-P Rifle finals, coming back to win a quota spot to the Athens 2004 Olympics.
