I wouldn't store it in a storage locker physically seperated from my condo/apt unit. Think of it as a secondary piece of property. If you owned two houses, I think that you could only store guns in your primary residence. If the police came to your home for an inspection and you took them to the storage unit, I think it would not go over well.
When I lived in a condo, I bolted storage safes into the wall of a closet. It did the trick for me.
Your best bet is to overbuild your safe and ask yourself: "How would this look if I had to explain myself in a court of law?"
The only other option I would suggest is to call the CFO and get their opinion.
